Music Monday – Beginnings

Goodbye 2011, hello 2012!

Happy new year to all of you my beautiful readers, this year is gonna ROCK!

How will you make your dreams come true this year? How will you choose to spend that year so that you feel fantastic and fulfilled like the free spirit you truly are?

Resolutions? Mmmh, yeah, maybe. If they resonate as commitment to you and they don’t stretch you too much. Yes, you read that right.

Let me explain.

First, here is the bottom line: dreams and goals are not mutually exclusive. While dreams seem to be that über elusive thing out there you will never grasp, goals look like the down-to-earth steps that you “should” have.

Nah, forget the “shoulds”. Goals are here to pave the way to your dreams, one step at a time. You know what the most difficult step is, right? Yup, the first one.

So when you set goals, make them specific, measurable, and doable. Keep in mind your dream and make sure your goals align with it. If your goal feels like a “should”, let it go.

You want your goal to feel exciting and, yes, a lil’ bit scary: that’s you going out of your comfort zone, well done! That said, if it looks too scary and overwhelming, it might be that you are stretching too much outside of the comfort zone.

Remember: one step at a time. In French we have that saying: “les petits ruisseaux forment les grandes rivières”, litterally “small streams make for big rivers”. Aim for big river, one small stream at a time.

And if you don’t know which direction you are headed and you need clarity on your goals, then I am here to help you find your way.

Let’s begin, shall we? 🙂
