Wishcasting Wednesday – What Do You Wish for Fall?

Last Sunday Lovely Boyfriend, his parents and I went for a walk in our new neighbourhood. We were delighted to stumble upon what appeared to be protected woods, complete with communal gardens, beehives, and a shelter for bats. Not to mention the windmill hidden behind the trees and being renovated by the town.

Local authorities did massive works to maintain this area and they did a pretty good job. This place is a green oasis, much needed in an urban zone. I could totally imagine myself coming here with a sketchbook or an art journal, pens and pencils, and sit there on the grass or on a bench to soak all this goodness in.

Soaking the goodness in, this is precisely my answer to today’s Wishcasting prompt by Jamie Ridler.

Tonight I am teaching the last installment of my yoga Beginners Course. As of next week I will teach two classes on Wednesdays, and my lovely group of beginners want to continue their journey. It’s not me, it’s them 😉 I teach every Sunday at a local gym for women only and these women blow my mind every week without fail. I teach one-on-one sessions and it is a joy to see the smile on the face of my students when the class ends. They all get something out of this yoga thing, and I feel blessed and beyond grateful to share the teachings of yoga with such wonderful and dedicated students.

So this is what I have so far, this is the goodness I am lucky to experience these days. And before going too fast and burning my wings, I want to enjoy that stage, take it all in, before moving on and up. It is said that Autumn is the time to pause, and reflect. Well I wish to do just this, pause, reflect, smell the roses (or the smell of falling leaves maybe) and take care of the people that have made the decisions to start or resume their yoga practice with me. And take care of myself, my Lovely Boyfriend, and that furry thing with pointy ears that almost killed herself falling off a tree (that’s my interpretation, of course she is just fine and only wants one thing: climb up on that damn tree again).

Oh come on, it's been a while since I posted a pic of Lulu here ©Emmanuelle Lambert

And take the time to go sit on that bench with an art journal or a sketchbook, and make art again, before making the big decisions that lie ahead.
