Oh, how are you, after this weekend together?
Can you believe we’ve been journeying hand in hand since September 2010? I know, time does fly.
We were shy at the beginning, remember? I was seriously wondering what I had gotten myself into, thinking I would never be able to do THAT. THAT being standing up at the front of a room and leading people to do what I tell them to do. Being an introvert scared to death when it comes to public speaking, I could only chose to teach. Yoga, on top of everything. Well done.
I have learned so much with you, so much. I’m not saying I’m elated when it comes to standing in front of a crowd, though. But standing in front of a small group and teaching them how to breathe and move listening to what their body is telling them, this I think I can do. Actually you know what? I’m doing precisely that tonight. Yes, THAT.
I’ve been visiting you since September in your hometown of London. So glad you’re living up there, I looooove London! You give me no time to wander around the city though, you cheeky bossy mothafucka. My visits to you leave me shattered at the end of the day, you’re quite demanding, I have to say. You don’t want to know what I do on Saturday nights, that would put you to shame. Just so you know, it involves So You Think You Can Dance, Britain’s Got Talent, also usually munching on a sandwich and a Love Bar from Prêt, all lights out around 11:30pm at the latest. That’s the ugly truth.
I love my YTT routine, seriously.
Our paths will soon go in opposite direction and our story will be past. I will never forget you. I will never forget my wonderful teacher, the brilliant guest teachers, and above all my fellow TTs. What an amazing community of heart and spirit you have allowed for.
For all of this, I will always be thankful.
I have much to learn yet, my own path is not over, how can it be when it comes to yoga, practicing it, teaching it, living it? It’s a lifetime’s work. I think I’ve taken a good start though, thanks to you.
For this, I will always be thankful.
See you next week 🙂
